The Smart Scar Care range

An innovative approach to silicone therapy.

Hypertrophic scarring is a common complication of burn, surgery and trauma. It not only affects the appearance, but also has the potential to significantly impact function – through scar tension, thickness, reduced pliability and contracture. 

The Smart Scar Care range of silicone products was developed by Prof Cecilia Li-Tsang, an Occupational Therapist and academic from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, well known for her research and innovation in scar management. 

The range includes

• the Smart Scar Care Sheeting – an innovative two-layer silicone sheeting
• and two types of silicone tape – providing two options to reduce scar tension
  • the Smart Scar Care Pressure Bandage, and
  • the Smart Scar Care Stretch Tape
